Lítačka card

I have a new Lítačka. Will the coupon from the original card get transferred automatically?

No, the coupon still remains on the original Lítačka card. Request its transfer either in the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace, or do so online in your user account at pidlitacka.cz or in the PID Lítačka mobile application. To transfer the fare online, both the original and the new cards must be assigned to the same account. The fare can then be moved in the My Coupons section. Transferring the coupon takes effect within 60 minutes. Other services linked to the previous card (e.g. reader's card) needs to be transferred to a new card directly with the service provider.

How do I get my Lítačka card?

The simpliest way to order a card from the comfort of your home is filling out an online application from a registered account at pidlitacka.cz. You can have the ordered card sent by post to the address of your choice or have it sent to one of our contact points. Another option is to submit a standard application to one of our contact branches of Dopravní podnik or have the card issued while you wait at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace or at the express points of the Central Bohemian Region. When is my Lítačka available for pickup and how do I find out?

When expressly issuing the card, you will receive your card on the spot. When submitting a standard or online application, the issuance of the card may take up to 30 days from the successful submission of the application, i.e. from the approval of the application and payment of the fee. The card is usually received in approximately 14 days, but the period can vary. If you get the card at the branch, first you receive an SMS and e-mail as soon as the card is ready for pick-up. Upon receipt of the card by post, a consignment with the card will be sent by DPP by registered mail exclusively to the addressee from the company Monet +, as, with its registered office in Zlín. When submitting a shipment to the post office, you receive an SMS and an e-mail with its tracking number.

How do I find out what happens to a card application?

If you applied for the Lítačka card online, you can track the status of the request in your account, from which the request was made, in the My Identifiers section.

Where can you find the application number?

If the application was submitted online, you will find the application number directly in the e-mail received after sending the application. It can also be found directly in the registered account in the My Identifiers section. If the application was submitted by default or expressly at the branch, you will find its number directly on your copy of the application form under the barcode.

Is it possible to re-prepare the card for takeover?

If the card has already been delivered or ready to be picked up, but has not been picked up, write an e-mail to info@pidlitacka.cz or call the Infoline. Get your application number ready for the operators. If the card has not yet been cancelled, it can be additionally collected at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace.

Is it possible to correct the rejected application, or do I have to pay again?

Each received application is checked. If the application is not complete or if some information does not meet the requirements for issuing a card (for example, wrong photo format), your application may be rejected. An automatic e-mail is sent upon rejecting an online application. Each application is only paid once. All you have to do is correct the rejected online application and resubmit it for approval; you can edit the application from the account at pidlitacka.cz, from which it was submitted, in the My Identifiers section.

Is it possible to change the selected pick-up place of the Lítačka card?

An application submitted for approval can no longer be modified on your part. If you wish to change the place of receipt of the card, write an e-mail to info@pidlitacka.cz or call our Infoline. Get your application number ready for operators. If the production of the card has not started yet, it is possible to change the branch where the card will be ready for collection, or the delivery address. However, it is not possible to change the method of card delivery, i.e. whether it will be ready for collection at the branch or sent by post, in which case it would be necessary to cancel the submitted application and then apply again.

Is it possible to cancel the application submitted?

If you wish to cancel the application, write an e-mail to info@pidlitacka.cz or call our Infoline. Get your application number ready for the operators. Until the production of the card starts, the application may still be cancelled, so please contact us as soon as possible. In the event of cancellation of the application, you will also be refunded the fee already paid for its processing within 30 days.

What should I do if I have entered an incorrect information in my application?

Get your application number ready for operators. Until the production of the card starts, it is possible to change the data, so please contact us as soon as possible.

What kind of photo do you need to issue your card?

An up-to-date ID-type photo is required to issue a personal card; you will not need any photo to issue an anonymous card. When expressly submitting an application, you can: • bring the photo in printed form for scanning (the photo will be returned to you), • use a photograph from our database, if consent has been given to the preservation of the photograph during the earlier issue of the Lítačka card and if it meets the required parameters, • take a photo on the spot (only in the Škoda Palace).

When submitting a standard application, it is necessary to attach a printed photograph to the application. With the express and standard issue of the card, photos in digital form are not accepted. It is necessary to insert a digital photo meeting the following technical parameters into the online application:

  • maximum dimension: 2MB,
  • minimum dimensions: 346px height and 260px width,
  • possible formats: jpg, jpeg or png. The photo should also meet the following parameters:
  1. The photo captures the whole face from the front with the eyes open.
  2. The photo captures the entire face from the top of the head down to the shoulders.
  3. The photo is taken in front of a monochrome light background.
  4. There are no shadows in the photo that would impede the legibility of the face.
  5. Photographs must not be taken with sunglasses or a headgear (unless there is an exception, e.g. for health or religious reasons).
  6. The photo must be colourful, easy to read, without significant adjustments.
  7. The photo must match the current appearance of the passenger.

Remember that each photo is checked after insertion into the application and unless it meets any of the parameters, it may be rejected.

What documents do I need for issueing a card?

We accept an identity card, passport or residence permit as an identity document. If a birth certificate is required, it must be submitted in the Czech language. Translations of birth certificates must be officially certified. A copy of the birth certificate does not have to be officially certified. In case of representation, a copy of the principal's identity document and power of attorney is submitted on our form, these documents do not have to be officially verified. How do I get a limited design card?

Limited editions of the Lítačka card are only available for the express edition at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace. Colleagues will inform you directly at the counter about the current availability of individual designs. You only pay an express issuance fee for issuing the card, no surcharge is charged for the limited design of the card.

What sort of information is stated on the card print?

Each card is printed with the card number and the last day of validity of the card, unless the card has been renewed. The printing of a personal card with registration and a personal card without registration also contains the name, surname and ID photo of its holder. The printing of a personal card without registration contains information that it is a card without data registration.

Who can use Lítačka?

The card can be issued to a person older than 6 years. Its issuance is not conditioned by residence in Prague or nationality, so the card can serve both Pragers, non-Prague and tourists.

Until when is the card valid?

The card is issued with a validity of seven years from the date of issue. Until 29 February 2020 the cards were issued with a validity of four years. The validity of the card is indicated on its print. In the case of automatic renewal of the card, it is possible to verify its current validity after assigning the card into online account or at a branch.

What is the use of Lítačka card?

At present the Lítačka card can serve as:

  • Identifier for electronic fares of Prague Integrated Transport (PID).
  • Reader's card to the Municipal Library after registering the card in the library.
  • Discount card: cardholders can use the Lítačka discount program.
  • Lítačka do škol: participating schools can use their pupils' card as a security identifier with many functions.
  • Charging of electric cars at PREpoint stations after signing a contract for the use of charging services in the network of Prague Energy stations.

What types of cards are there?

We issue three types of Lítačka card: a personal card with records, a personal card without records and an anonymous card.

Personal card with registration

This is a non-transferable card, to which you can purchase PID personal fares according to your tariff category: adult and discounted coupons and proof of entitlement to special fares. The fare may exceed the expiration date of the card and it is possible to transfer it to another of your personal identifiers in the event of a complaint, expiration, loss, damage to the card, etc. In case of forgetting the card and transport inspection, it is possible to prove back the travel document (not possible in PID trains).

Personal card without registration

This is a non-transferable card on which you can purchase personal PID tickets: citizens' coupons. Personal information about the cardholder are not saved, so it is not possible to manage this card online. The fare cannot exceed the validity period of the card with its own validity and it is possible to transfer it to another of your personal cards without registration only in the event of a card complaint. In case of loss or damage of the card, it is not possible to move the coupon. In case of forgetting the card and transport inspection, it is not possible to prove back the travel document.

Anonymous card

This is a portable card that is not registered to a specific person and can be used alternately by more people. With the card anonymous PID tickets can be purchased: portable coupons. Personal information about the cardholder is not saved. The fare cannot exceed the validity period of the card with its own validity and it is possible to transfer it to another anonymous card only in case of a card complaint. In case of loss or damage of the card, it is not possible to move the coupon. In case of forgetting the card and transport inspection, it is not possible to prove back the travel document.

When can I request a card change?

The card can be requested for the entire period of validity of the card, in the case of an exchange due to the end of validity, in addition up to 30 days after the expiry of the card. To apply for a card replacement online or by default, the original card number must be provided in the application. If the number is not given, the request will be processed as if requesting the first card.

Do I have to have the original card with me when replacing the card at the branch?

It is necessary to bring the original card to the branch when claiming the card and when replacing the card due to the end of validity; in other cases of exchanging the card you do not necessarily need the original card with you. It is not obligatory to return the original card, with the only exception in case of exchange due to a complaint.

Is it possible to exchange one type of card for another?

Lítačka card of a certain type (personal with registration, personal without registration, anonymous) can always be exchanged only for a card of the same type. In the case of a request to issue a type of card other than the one used so far, the procedure is the same as when applying for the first card.

How do I requests cancelling my card?

Cancellation of the card means permanent and irreversible blocking of the card, when the card ceases to be functional without the possibility of re-use. If you do not cancel the card yourself, it is cancelled automatically at the end of its validity. The card can be cancelled in person at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace, you will need your identity document with you. To cancel a card without registration and an anonymous card, it is necessary to present a receipt for issuing the card.

How is the card delivered to me if I choose sending by post?

If the card is sent by post, it will be sent to you via the DPP as a registered letter exclusively to your own hands. Therefore, only you will be able to accept the shipment on the basis of your identity document. Please note that we only send cards by post in the Czech Republic.
