FAQ

Mobile app

What is the purpose of the account in the application?

The main advantage of registering in the application is that you have the tickets you buy in your account and you will not lose them. For example, if you lose your device, all you have to do is log in with your account on the new device and your tickets will still be on it. The account also brings the possibility of sending invoices via e-mail or transferring tickets to other devices (whether it is handing over the ticket to another user or transferring to another device due to loss, theft or destruction of the device). At the same time, the account is a necessary condition in order to be able to use the application as an identifier for long-term fares as well as for the purchase of a coupon via the application.

How do I upload a coupon to the application?

To upload a coupon to a mobile phone, you must first register the mobile application as an identifier. Log in to the application with your account from pidlitacka.cz, insert the correct photo into your profile and then register the identifier in the My Account section, Coupons tab. Now all you have to do is buy or move a coupon to the app. In order to purchase a discounted fare according to the age tariff category, it is necessary to verify the personal data entered at the branch with the mobile application or in the account in which it is registered. The exception applies to students with an ISIC card, who can verify their student status online by entering the ISIC number. The mobile application can be registered as an identifier on a device running iOS 9.3 and higher or a device running Android 6.0 and higher. In the case of the Android operating system, only devices with an inserted SIM card or support for hardware key storage are supported.

How do I verify that the coupon is actually uploaded in the mobile app?

What's the use of the app if I have a coupon on my card and I don't want to buy tickets?

You can continue to use the application as a reliable guide to public transport in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. The application also includes a connection search function, a map of stops, an overview of current exceptions and restrictions or other news in transport. We strive to be a comprehensive application for transportation.

Ticket activation is always irreversible.

When will the activated ticket gets valid for me?

A ticket activated immediately is invalid for an inspection or a guide check for the first 2 minutes after activation. With this measure, we want to prevent stowaways from activating at the last minute before the auditor. However, on suburban buses with a front door, this ticket is also valid for the first 2 minutes. The bus driver will check on boarding that you have a valid ticket. Therefore, you do not have to leave the bus (more in the tariff and contractual transport conditions of PID). The ticket must already be activated for check-in, for the time and zones for which the long-term fare has not been purchased. To transfer purchased anonymous tickets, please contact us by e-mail at info@pidlitacka.cz.

Does the application show the location of public transport cars?

The application displays information about the current delay for the searched connection (where data is available, i.e. for the vast majority of vehicles), displaying the location of cars on the map is not available at the moment, however you can use this page to view it.

What should I do if my mobile phone is lost or stolen?

If you lose your mobile phone or it is stolen from you, you can block the identifier of the mobile application to which you have assigned your coupons on the pidlitacka.cz website. Alternatively, you can move the coupon to another of your identifiers. To add a new mobile phone as an identifier, log in to the account from pidlitacka.cz in the mobile application on the new device and register this new device as an identifier. Now all you have to do is move the coupon from the original phone to the application. If tickets to a registered user account have been purchased in the application, you only need to log in to the account again in the newly installed application to obtain them again.

What should I do after uninstalling the application?

If the application is uninstalled and reinstalled on the same mobile phone, it is necessary to log in again, register a new identifier and transfer coupons to it. The same applies, if it is a different device. If tickets to a registered user account have been purchased in the application, you only need to log in to the account again in the newly installed application to obtain them again.

What is planned for the application in the future?

Another important step in the development of the PID Lítačka application is to enable payment for parking directly in the application. At the same time, the application is constantly making minor adjustments and improvements. If you have any idea, do not be afraid to contact us using the contact form or by e-mail at info@pidlitacka.cz.

How do get inspected, if I have a fare in the mobile app?

For inspection, the mobile device must be unlocked, the mobile application must be turned on and logged in to the user account in which the identifier with the coupon is registered. It is possible to check in using the QR code and NFC (Android only). You can find the QR code in the Tickets section, Coupons tab. For transport inspection, it is necessary to have an open screen with a QR code, you attach the phone screen to the control device so that the entire QR code is captured from the display. In the case of NFC control, the phone is attached directly to the check-in device, at the marked location. To submit an identifier, NFC must be turned on both on the mobile device and the mobile application. If another application is loading when you show your phone, you need to turn off the application on your mobile device.

How is the ticket processed from the mobile application?

You submit the ticket for inspection in the user account and on the mobile device in which the ticket was activated. The validity of the ticket can be verified using a QR code, NFC or visual inspection of the variable patterns. To check a ticket using a QR code or a variable pattern, open the detail of the activated ticket in the Tickets section, Tickets tab. The QR code on the mobile device must be attached to the check-in device so that the entire QR code is captured from the display. If another application is loaded when the NFC is submitted to the mobile device, you need to turn off that application on the mobile device.

I use a mobile phone. Do I have to be online when inspected?

You don't have to. An internet connection is required when registering a new identifier and then purchasing or transferring a coupon. To use a short-term ticket, you only need to be online when purchasing and activating it, not anymore for the transport inspection itself.

What if my phone runs out of power?

It is the passenger's responsibility to be able to present a valid ticket. If you use a mobile application as an identifier, or you use the application for short-term tickets, you must have a functional device, i.e. a charged phone, at the time of the transport check. Otherwise, a successful transport inspection is not guaranteed and you run the risk of a fine.

Is it safe to prove yourself with a mobile phone? Can't the data I have on my phone be stolen during the inspection?

Check-in is exactly the same as in the case of short-term tickets, i.e. the inspector / driver / guide reads the QR code, or NFC communication takes place, and if the passenger has a coupon assigned to the mobile application, then this information is displayed on the control device. At the same time, photos of the passenger using the coupon will be displayed on this device. Using a mobile phone is absolutely safe, data cannot be stolen.

What is the daily fare capping in Prague?

The daily fare capping function ensures that you do not pay more than the price of an all-day ticket per day when purchasing tickets in the PID Lítačka application. So, if you are planning more trips around Prague in one day, you do not have to worry whether an all-day ticket will pay off for you, because if its amount is reached, the fare is automatically capped. For example, if you make three trips around Prague in one day for CZK 40 and reach the price of an all-day ticket for CZK 120, you will automatically receive a ticket valid in Prague for the rest of the day.

How does daily fare capping work?

The functionality is automatically available in the PID Lítačka application from version 3.8.0. If you activate tickets for the P+0+B zones for 30 or 90 minutes in one day and you get the price of an all-day ticket by activating them (ie 120 CZK or 60 CZK in their discounted variant), the application will automatically create a ticket valid till 1:30am the next day. If the sum of the prices of all activated tickets equals exactly the price of an all-day ticket, the application will only extend the validity of the last one of them. If the sum of the prices exceeds the price of an all-day ticket, you will be given the option to pay only the necessary part of the price.

Am I eligible to a daily fare capping ticket if I activate more than one ticket at a time?

For instance, if you travel in pairs and activate tickets on one device, the application is able to cap the price multiple times. For example, if you always activate two tickets for CZK 40 in the morning, the same at noon and the same in the afternoon, you will get two tickets valid until the end of the day. It does not matter if you travel all day with the same person, it is crucial that all tickets must be activated on one device.
