What is an identifier?

An identifier is a designation for a contactless device or object that is used to identify a passenger and to prove the electronic fare PID within the regional transport system. Currently, you can use the Lítačka card, the DPP In Card, the Mastercard or Visa contactless payment card and the PID Lítačka mobile application as identifiers.

What the types of identifiers are there? How does their use in PID differ?

There are three types of identifiers, a personal identifier with records, a personal identifier without records, and an anonymous identifier.

The personal Lítačka card with registration, a personal Lítačka Card with registration, a personal In Card, a personalized contactless payment card Mastercard or Visa and mobile application PID Lítačka can be used as personal identifier with registration.

The personal identifier with registration is non-transferable and personal fares can be purchased with regard to your tariff category (adult and discounted coupons and proof of entitlement to special fares). The fare may exceed the expiration time of the identifier and it is possible to move it to another personal identifier with the registration of the same person.

In case of forgetting the identifier and the transport inspection, it is possible to document the travel document (except for PID trains).

The personal Lítačka card without registration can be used as personal identifier without registration.

The personal identifier without registration is non-transferable and can be used only for purchasing personal citizens' coupons. The fare cannot exceed the validity period of the identifier with its validity and it is possible to move it to another personal identifier without the registration of the same person only in the case of a recognized card complaint. In case of loss or damage of the identifier, you also lose the coupon.

This type of identifier cannot be managed online.

If the identifier is forgotten at the time of the transport check, it is not possible to prove back the travel document.

An anonymous identifier an anonymous Lítačka card and a non-personalized contactless payment card Mastercard or Visa can be used as an anonymous identifier. The anonymous identifier is portable and can be used alternately by more than one person. Only anonymous portable coupons can be purchased for the identifier. The fare cannot exceed the validity period of the identifier with its own validity and it is possible to move it to another anonymous identifier only in case of the Lítačka card in the event of a recognized card complaint. In case of loss or damage of the identifier, you also lose the coupon.

In case of forgetting the identifier and the transport inspection, it is not possible to prove back the travel document.

How do I start using In Card?

If you own a personal In Card of the DPP with a MAP structure (In Card 2nd generation), you can register it as your personal identifier with records. Older types of In Card or In Card in mobile phones cannot be used.

You can register the identifier by assigning it to your online user account by filling in the card number and its expiration date.

Alternatively, you can register the card in the PID system in person at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace, at the DPP Central Dispatch Centre, at the DPP pre-sale at the Roztyly metro station and at the express points of the Central Bohemian Region. You will need an identity document and an In Card with you, after which it will be registered as an identifier when attached to the registration terminal.

Then just buy or transfer the coupon to the card. To purchase a discounted fare according to the age tariff category, it is necessary to verify the entered personal data with the In Card or in the account, to which it is assigned.

How do I start using a credit card?

If you own a Mastercard or Visa contactless payment card, you can register it as an identifier. A payment card stored in the mobile phone cannot be used. You can register the identifier by assigning it to your online user account by filling in the card number and its expiration date. Please note that the payment card is always registered in the system as an anonymous identifier type. If you want to convert it to a personal type with records, insert a photo into your profile and convert the card to personal in the My Identifiers section. Alternatively, you can register the card in the PID system in person at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace, at the DPP Central Dispatch Centre, at the DPP pre-sale at the Roztyly metro station and at the express points of the Central Bohemian Region. You will need a payment card with you, which will be registered at the registration terminal upon submitting. If you want to convert the type of identifier to a personal one with registration at the same time, you will also need proof of identity an identity document and a colour photo (in a specific format). Then just buy or transfer the coupon to the card. In order to purchase a discounted fare according to the age tariff category, it is necessary to verify the personal data entered with a personal payment card or in the account to which it is assigned.

How do I start using Lítačka card?

You can start using the Lítačka card as an identifier immediately after issuing, so you can purchase or transfer a coupon to it. If you want to manage the card online from your user account, assign it to your account by entering the card number in the My Identifiers section.

How do I start using the mobile app?

To use the PID Lítačka mobile application as an identifier, first download and install the application. Log in to the application with your account from pidlitacka.cz, insert a photo into your profile and then register the application as your identifier. You can find the registration option in the My Account section, Coupons tab.

Then just buy or move the coupon to the application. To purchase a discounted fare according to the age tariff category, you must first verify the personal data entered.

The mobile application can be registered as an identifier on a device running iOS 9.3 and higher or a device running Android 6.0, or higher. In the case of the Android operating system, only devices with an inserted SIM card or support for hardware key storage are supported.

How do I verify personal data?

Verification of personal data filled in the user account or entered during the registration of the identifier will allow you to purchase discounted fares corresponding to your age tariff category.

The personal data entered can be verified at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace and at the express points of the Central Bohemian Region, upon presentation of an identity document. The data in the user account will also be verified by assigning a personal identifier with already verified data (e.g. personal Lítačka card) or by entering a valid ISIC card.

Why can't I assign a Lítačka card to my account?

If the Lítačka card has not yet been assigned to any user account, and you still cannot assign it to the account, the cardholder's personal data may not match the data provided in the online account. To resolve the issue, write an e-mail to info@pidlitacka.cz, contact our Infoline, or visit the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace. By its nature, a Lítačka card without registration cannot be added and managed via a user account, where we store e-mail, name, surname and date of birth about passengers. It is only possible to purchase coupons for this type of card at the Lítačka Customer Centre in the Škoda Palace, at the express points of the Central Bohemian Region and at the contact sales points of DPP the Transport Company.

Why can't I assign an In Card to my account?

If the In Card has not yet been assigned to any user account, you are adding an allowed card type and still cannot be assigned to the account, the card has probably been blocked by the issuer, i.e., by the Czech Railways In this case, please contact them.

What happens if I misstate the expiration of my In Card?

If the expiration date of a registered In Card is not the same as the data on the card (it differs by month or year), this can have a significant effect on the functionality and use of the card in the PID Lítačka system. Assign the In Card to your account again with the correct data. If you have a fare assigned to a previously incorrectly registered card, do not forget to move it to a correctly registered card.

Why can't I assign a credit card to my account?

If the bank card has not yet been assigned to any user account, and you still cannot assign it to the account, your bank's assignment of the card may not have been approved. The bank payment card must be valid and active. Some banks also require 3D Secure and online payments for a successful assignment.

Will I automatically pay with the assigned credit card?

You can assign a payment card to a user account on pidlitacka.cz in order to use this card as an identifier, but not in order to make a payment. You will enter payment details only after creating an order directly on the payment gateway; you can also choose a payment card other than the one assigned to make the payment.

How do I block an identifier?

You can block the identifier directly from the user account in the My Identifiers section. Having a blocked identifier, you cannot check in within the PID Lítačka check-in system and nor purchase or transfer fares to it. You can unblock the blocked identifier again for transport purposes there. To completely block the card even outside the check-in system, it is always necessary to contact the issuer of the relevant card.
